Since Runescape has started, close to 200 million accounts have been made! On the main Runescape website they have put a live counter to count down to the 200 millionth.
Jagex have put together a “grand celebration-along with a series of events and surprises” in order to allow everyone to celebrate this historic milestone!

Many of you will know that Runescape are revising their combat system, massively, and on June 8th they released information on the updated buffs and weaknesses (debuffs). On the Combat HQ page-where you can sign up for the combat of evolution beta if you’re a member-they made a detailed post on how they are changing the buffs and debuffs system, and how you will be able to see yours and your enemies buffs/debuffs in a much neater way.
As well as this, they will also be “taking a look” at the stats and weaknesses of current Runescape NPCs. The devs have said that if an NPC has a weakness to a certain type of spell or attack (ie fire) then they will take significantly more damage from those attacks or spells. In addition to all this, they are also adding more weaknesses and buffs which they are yet to announce.

So, many people have heard of Prizerebel, a site which allows you to accumulate points and spend them on prizes. Most people wonder whether it is legit or not, and whether it really is that easy. Well I can tell you that is is 100% legit, but not as easy to get points as people say. Now don’t let that put you off, because it can be easy, when you know how to get points.
The point of this post is to prove to you it can be easy to gain points, but only when you know how.
First off, the best pay to get your first few points is by completing surveys. When you click on the [Get Points] drop down menu, select [Available Offers] and it will take you to the offers page. If it is not set to your country, then select your country from the list (As shown in the picture below). Always clear your cookies before doing an offer, and make sure to use fake details but a REAL email address (Create a spam hotmail or gmail email for it). Some offers require you to respond to an email, usually to activate your account. I would NOT suggest putting your own name, address or phone number, unless you want spam mail or unwanted calls.
Always read the description of the offer so that you know what you have to do to ensure you get the points.

Another way of getting is points is through referrals (The best way, but not the easiest). I will provide a tactics guide on getting referrals in my next post.

Too often users make the mistake of simply spamming their referral links on forums, facebook, yahoo answers. The following is a much better way that will result in active referrals
When it comes to referrals, its important to realize who you are targetting. Are you trying to target xbox users, wii gamers, ps3 gamers, users who play facebook games etc?
Setup a blog on hosts such as wordpress or blogspot or even a site setup on webs.com
Instead of making a “general website” where you mention how to get freebies on PR, create NICHE specific blogs/websites that target a specific audience.
For example if I am setting up a bunch of blogs I might do something like
For each blog I may use the same template, I can start by introducing the site and concept, I will show testimonials (both pics and youtube vids). I will have a few banners around the site and then finally I will show a video or a written process of how a user can signup, do a few offers and claim a prize. I can even list a few offers that are the top crediting offers. However on each site you need to change some words, pics/ videos around to cater to what the user is looking for.
Essentially I am setting up different blogs/sites that target different users. Its important to also note that I am using specific keypharses in the subdomain or the domain (depends if you get your own domain or blogspot)
The keywords will be important in helping you get ranked for those keywords in google and other search engines. For more on search engine optimization and link building you can google those topics.
Once you have your site ready, you can then figure out how to get traffic to it through various ways that are mentioned on the forum, ex. youtube videos, question and answer sites, facebook/other social networks, obtaining search engine keyword rankings (SEO) etc.
So many people play runescape, but a lot of them can’t afford to buy membership, or their parents won’t let them. Do not worry! From prizerebel you can get Runescape membership within an hour! I’m making this guide bcause compared to my other one, this is more specific to getting Runescape membershi[.
Here is a guide on how to get the membership.
1. First sign up at www.prizerebel.com unless you have already signed up. Make sure to use REAL information on prizerebel (But not on the surveys)
2. Then navigate to the surveys page (Get Points>Complete offers)
3. Change the sort to [Credited] [Greatest to Least] (Also described in my first post)
4. Complete between 16-20 surveys (It is best to do surveys worth 0.5 or more points).
*NOTE* Remember to use fake details, except your email (use a junk email which you have access to), some offers require you to activate an account. Also clear your cookies after each offer to get a better chance of being credited. (Check this post for more detail on completing surveys successfully)
5. After you have completed the offers and have 9 or more points, navigate to the prize page and go to page two of the online games prizes.
Both Runescape cards and Ultimate game cards work for Runescape, but I prefer to choose the official Runescape cards.
6. Now you just have to wait a few hours an Voilà, you have the code in your mail!
Just a little side note; you don’t need to complete the whole offer to get credited. What I suggest is to complete half of it, click the prizerebel tab and refresh the page to see if your points have been credited. If not then continue doing the survey.
Runescape have announced an evolution of the current combat system, and they’re going to be releasing it in beta on July 7th. Much like the Guild wars 2 Beta, this Beta will be every weekend from the 7th of July, and it will be available to members only.
Jagex confirmed that ALL members will have temporary access to the beta, however you must opt yourself into it first. But how do we opt in? Well Jagex have said that between June 1st and 19th, members will have an item added to their inventory, which will link you to the Evolution of Combat beta website when you click it. From there you can sign up and you will receive your invite on June 26th!

2. Sign up for www.easyhits4u.com, www.linkreferral.com, or any other website(s) that give your website/blog traffic. In about three days, I got 400 people to view my webiste (easyhits4u), and I think 9 signed up from my referral link. On LinkReferral, about 30 people viewed my website, and I don’t think anyone signed up from my referral link yet…
3. Post your website/blog/referral link on the general forums on LinkReferral. They have a section for posting your website/blog/referral link (located near the end of the Forums Page, in the General Sub-Topic).
4. Think of popular shows on TV, and go to their website, see if they have a forum or even if they have stories to comment on.
5. Go to a website that has gaming or technology news (Like www.switched.com), read some of the stories, and add a comment. Make sure that most of your comment is about the story, and then at the end include something like:
“Yeah, I can’t wait for ——- to come out!
Please visit my website at ———.”
6. Go to iTunes, go to the Top Songs section, make a review, and post your website, referral link, or blog at the end of your review.
7. Create an account at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/ and find the most popular addons and comment on them. Be sure to add your website, blog, or referral link to it.
8. If you have a PS3 and LittleBigPlanet, make a level, and in your level description, be sure to include your website/blog/referral link in it.
9. Create a couple of YouTube videos. Then, create a couple of accounts and upload the video to all of your accounts. Make sure that each video has different tags so that even more people will see the videos!
10. Get some games that you don’t want anymore and either sell it to Gamestop, eBay, etc., and put a piece of paper explaining what PrizeRebel is and that you can get free games, consoles, gift cards, and other things. Make sure to include your website/blog/referral link in it!

Earlier last week I made a post (here) on how to get the Real title in runescape and the cape of validation. Here’s a quick video by TugboatGaming showing you where to get the cape from and how it works.
So you’ve seen people with the Real title and want to know how they got it? Well it’s very easy and simple; all you need is an email address and a brain!
Head over to Runescape, or open up your launcher, and login to your account. Something will pop-up asking you to confirm an email to link with your account; so just type your email in both boxes, hit confirm (or w/e the button says) and open up your emails-if it’s hotmail/gmail/yahoo, open it in a separate tab. Click the link in the email then head back to your Runescape client and it should have a new message; your cape shall be waiting for you!
Now to claim the title. You need to start of by claiming your Cape of Validation from Diango in Draynor Village, who is located in the blue square on the map below (where it says Market):
(Note: To claim it, you need to go through the interface where you can claim old holiday items).
Once you have the cape, right click it and select choose “Give Title”.
You now have the Real Title, congratulations! If you want to remove it, Xuan in either Varrock or Burthorpe (located right/east of the staff shop by the fountain in Varrock, and directly north of the Rune shop, right above it).
